Welcome to Thewphaingarm School English Program (TSEP)

TPG held the first of many English camps at the Sida resort in Nakhon Nayok during summer school this year on the 21st and 22nd of April; and was attended by 51 of our students from grades five to twelve.
On Thursday 28th of August TSEP was visited by representatives of four of Thailand’s best Universities. These were Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Kasetsart University, and MUIC.
Friday19th of September was a very special and auspicious day for TSEP – it was teacher Narong’s birthday and the school’s 39th birthday celebrations. The day was spent having wonderful showsperformed by both TSEP and Thewphaingarm school students to show the deep respect and love that everyone has for teacher Narong. Many of the students had worked really hard to produce some wonderful acts to present on stage during the proceedings.

On Friday 16th and Saturday 17th of January TSEP’s grades 4 – 12 departed from Bangkok to attend this year’s annual scout camp and interrelationship camp. Students, teachers and buses met up early in the morning and boarded said buses in anticipation of the upcoming two days of fun and games. The convoy of buses headed in roughly a northwesterly direction to the venue. The new location was at the Pine Resort which is located at Pathum Thani, about 60km from Bangkok.
December 5th is an important day in the Thai calendar because this is the day the country celebrates the birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), the monarch of Thailand. It underlines the contribution and compassion His Majesty the King makes to and has for his subjects. It is also regarded as National Father’s Day.
On Friday the 28th November, TSEP and Thewphiangarm School held the annual extravaganza which is Sport’s Day. It was a lovely cool morning with a gentle breeze, clear blue skies, and the perfect weather for the event
On Friday 7th a day packed with activity and loads of fun. This year the destination was the historical city of Ayutthaya, a beautiful and ancient capital and, modern city, in the Central Plains of Thailand, 85 km north of Bangkok. All of our pupils and teachers fitted into a luxurious fleet of seven coaches, complete with a police escort.
On Friday 31st of September TSEP had their own special day of fun to celebrate the creepiest of all days – Halloween. Many students came to school in their own Halloween fancy dress costumes. These were all excellent and ranged from zombies to ghosts, and from vampires to witches.
Klara Panther from Germany spent the whole of last year on an exchange program studying here at TSEP in Grade 10. The following is a question and answer session which Klara was kind enough to complete to share her experiences while she was here. TSEP misses you Klara!
Every month Foreign and Thai homeroom teachers collaborate to choose a student from their homeroom to receive the highly coveted "Smart Student" award. There are many criteria to take into account when making this decision which reflect positively on the student's performance up to that point. The winners for November are:
